Panama Boat Schedules -
by: Wolf Sebring

Panama Boat Schedules - There are several tour companies in Panama who offer boat rides for different excursions. This narrow strip of land called the Isthmus of Panama is flanked by two major oceans and has a waterway with several manmade lakes feeding it (the Panama Canal). With all this water around this country you can be certain that you will in need of a boat to get somewhere so it helps to know schedules and availability of watercraft services.embra guides

Take the Taboga Island for instance. This is a beautiful island surrounded by warm clear tropical seas but requires riding on the ferry between the Port of Balboa in Panama City and the island. But this ferry does not run all day long and if you miss it you just might miss your only chance to visit this beautiful island.

The Ferry from Balboa to Taboga departs from Balboa at 8:30 A.M., 10:30 A.M., and 4:00 P.M on Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays it departs from Balboa at 8:30 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, it departs from Balboa at 8:30 A.M.

For the return back to Taboga, the ferry departs the island at 9:00 A.M., 3:00 P.M., and 5:00 P.M. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, it departs at 9:30 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, it departs at 4:30 P.M. Remember that on Tuesdays and Thursdays there is only one trip to the island and one trip back.PC sky line

Here's an interesting boat tour. It is an Eco-Tour called the Gamboa Chagres River Boat Cruise. Gamboa is a paradise for eco-tours and what is nice about this ride is that you can be picked up at your hotel and taken to the departure point. This boat ride takes you along the banks of the Chagres River and by an old overgrown checkpoint the Spaniards used in the 1530s to control the gold transports. The banks of the river are all part of the Soberania National Park and the water from this area helps feed the Panama Canal. Boat departure times are 8:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M. every day except for December 10th which is Panamanian Independence Day.

These are just a couple of the Panama boat schedules that might interest you. There are many more because in Panama, things happen on the water.
